Well, this is an adaptation of the classic Hunt the Wumpus game for the
HP48SX. You might find that it starts out somewhat slowly, but the game
play is quite acceptable considering the nature of the game.
It's very small and aside from missing the earthquake and the addition of
some graphics, is quite similar to the original Wumpus games found on the
Apples and the like of about 8-10 years ago. As an added bonus, it's
nice and small for you HP48S users or those who cannot excuse an
additional expenditure on a calculator.
Anyways, some graph paper might be helpful but with only 50 rooms, you
may be able to find your way around. (I myself get lost almost every
time I've played it and give up because I won't resort to drawing a map.)
The maze is randomly generated every time, not to mention some rooms may
not be accessable by foot. In the beginning of the game, you can be
assured there IS a way to find the Wumpus. The program checks for that
beforehand.
Download and enjoy! There's a brief TXT file included in the directory
just in case you forget this or need to know more about the game.
